Still missing – Philip Kreycik

Still missing – Philip Kreycik

I’m at a loss as to why (and how) the missing Berkeley runner, Philip Kreycik, hasn’t been found yet.

It has been on my radar so much in the past ~12 days that he has been missing that I don’t think I have anything else worthwhile to write about because someone went missing while on his daily run.

Resharing the info in the event that someone local — or someone who ran in Pleasanton two Saturdays ago who may know something or who may have seen something — can help: volunteer to help here (with critical links included), FAQs here, and a gofundme to support Philip’s family here.

Help find missing Bay Area runner Philip Kreycik

Help find missing Bay Area runner Philip Kreycik

If you’re local — particularly if you’re in the East Bay — if you haven’t been following the missing person story of Philip Kreycik, 37, who seemingly vanished from his run on Saturday morning, please, please do.

I don’t know him, nor have I run at the regional park in Pleasanton where he ran this last weekend. Nonetheless, it is so scary to read about a person who went missing during his run. It’s a worst-case-scenario that all of us (and our loved ones) have probably thought about before when we leave home to go do the thing that we so love to do.

I’m passing along info about the fb group that you can join if you’d like to assist in some capacity; even sending good vibes is welcome at this point.

I assume that if you read my blog, you run, are probably local to the Bay Area, and have probably heard about this story already. In the event you haven’t though, please educate yourself and see what you can do. Google for the news stories, and then when you’re ready to help, here’s a linktree of resources/next steps.

It’s day five since the search began.

I so, so hope that someone finds Philip and brings him home.
